Answer: Vita Sackville-West and Harold Nicolson
The couple – both members of the so-called Bloomsbury set – lived in Sissinghurst Castle after Vita purchased the property in 1930.
As well as renovating the dilapidated castle, they set up the gorgeous Sissinghurst gardens, still one of the prettiest gardens in England.
