The English South Coast – the counties of Dorset, Hampshire and Sussex – has been a key part of the country’s maritime history.
From being the home to the Royal Navy at places like Portsmouth and Plymouth, to being the Victorian seaside playground for London and the South East, the area has a long and varied connection with the sea.
